Ad Redirect Remover (“the extension”) is a browser extension for Microsoft Edge and Firefox (desktop and Android). This policy describes what information the extension handles and what it does not. It does not run on iOS Edge or iOS Firefox.
The extension reads the URL of the current tab on your device so it can
detect ad or search redirectors (for example Bing aclick or
Google /aclk) and, if a nested http or
https destination is present, navigate that tab to the
destination. This works with or without an ad blocker: listed tracker
hosts are unwrapped before the page loads. If a tracker is blocked at
DNS or by a client filter but is not on the list yet, the extension can
still recover after a navigation error such as
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED.
The extension does not create an account, show ads, or include analytics. It does not send your browsing history, tab URLs, or extracted destinations to the developer or to any analytics service.

This data stays in the browser’s extension storage on your device. It is not uploaded to the developer.
On install, about every 24 hours, and when you click Update now, the extension fetches a plain-text domain list so it can recognize tracker hosts. The default source is the AdGuard DNS filter, which is operated by AdGuard, not by us. If you set a different list URL or extra list URLs in the popup, those addresses are fetched instead or in addition.
Those requests may expose your IP address to the list host in the ordinary way any HTTPS download does. The extension does not attach your tab URLs or browsing history to those requests. List files are treated as data only; remote JavaScript is not downloaded or executed.

The extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
